<h4>Reviving the Saudi Filmmaking Industry</h4>

Re-establishing the filmmaking industry in an almost movie-barren Saudi Arabia and inspiring creators to develop their already present filmmaking skills.


The first 55 Saudi film directors, digital effects artists, and marketing experts were awarded the NEOM scholarship to one of the world’s best film schools.


The mere mention of the program has drawn the attention of a mass filmmaking fanbase not yet recognized in Saudi Arabia; approximately 6,000 of which dared to apply in the program’s first year.


This initiative alone has brought awareness back to and revived an almost forgotten industry. The overall impact has yet to be determined as the courses are still ongoing and there is much more yet to come.
Saudi Arabia began to focus its efforts on the film industry in 2018 by developing and expanding its local film theaters and screenings, after recognizing the advantageous role they played in reaching its Vision 2030 objectives. A good start &#8211; and a definite step forward &#8211; for the country’s film industry was awarding seven cinema licenses to both local and international media companies in a single year; the final license was given to the country’s own homegrown cinema brand, Muvi.
That being said, a breakthrough in the cinematic industry without local talent is just not as rewarding as it should be. According to the British Council’s first in-depth report on the kingdom’s film industry in 2020, 41% of the respondents think that skill shortage was the key obstacle to hiring in the Saudi film industry. The report also found that 54% of the country’s motion picture productions were short films, while full feature films accounted for nothing but a mere 4%.
One thing seems to have been missing from the equation: an environment of inspiration and cultivation.

<h2>The acceleration and transformation of the first fifty-five</h2>
As part of its revolutionary aspirations to become the leading accelerator of human progress and transformation, the ‘new future’ city of NEOM collaborated with TAM to bring to fruition a filmmaking scholarship program at one of the world’s highest ranking film schools, the United Kingdom’s National Film and Television School (NFTS).
The program offered 50 spots for the blended learning NFTS Filmmaking Certificate course and five placement opportunities for applicants pursuing their postgraduate studies. Of the 12,880 emails that were dispatched, 5,720 users signed up during the three-week registration timeframe, however only 17.4% of the applicants completed the form in time.
To make sure all interested parties were aware of the scholarship’s existence and gain the highest possible reach, TAM contacted 90 different Saudi-based universities, 135 media startups and freelancers, and conducted 10 webinar sessions at educational institutions.
The initial filtration process, headed by TAM’s filtration specialists, commenced just two days after submissions began. The validity of the forms was determined based on preset quantitative evaluation terms that were met by 161 individuals; 70 of which had applied to the Master’s program and 91 to the filmmaking certificate course.
The final nominees went on to conduct an interview with a media-specialist committee consisting of members from both NFTS and NEOM. These interviews were the deciding factor for the final selection of 55 students &#8211; 32 males and 23 females &#8211; based on their backgrounds, portfolios, and the passion they have for the industry.
The scholarships are currently still ongoing as the students have just begun attending the school, meaning the long term outcome of this initiative is yet to be determined. However, the short term outlook shows how the initiative was able to bring thousands of Saudi filmmakers out of hiding which could in turn cause the industry to develop and prosper.

Tourism Destinations Challenge

Challenge: 
Addressing the challenges faced by key tourist destinations in Saudi Arabia—Riyadh, Taif, and Al-Ahsa—by engaging the entrepreneurial community to develop innovative solutions that transform these locations into attractions for tourists and investors.
Outcome: 
A three-phase training camp brought together a diverse group of individuals with varying backgrounds, expertise, and ideas. Participants were given the opportunity to develop their concepts into actionable projects ready for real-world implementation. Tools and activities were designed to expand their knowledge base and inspire innovative approaches to make an impact in the tourism sector.
Impact: 
The program resulted in nine innovative and executable tourism projects developed by the winners who successfully reached the third phase out of 600 participants. These winners now have the potential to contribute to the tourism sector with their creative ideas, offering long-term value and cutting-edge services for the industry&#8217;s future projects.
The &#8220;Tourism Destinations Challenge&#8221; program was launched in 2022 under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with TAM Company. This three-phase training camp was designed to deliver entrepreneurial and innovative solutions to tackle major challenges faced by the target destinations—Riyadh, Taif, and Al-Ahsa. The goal was to foster a community connecting investors, innovators, service providers, and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, thereby supporting the growth and development of these destinations, attracting more investments, and aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
With 600 innovative ideas across nine tracks and over 15 sub-challenges, the training camps spanned nearly three months, offering more than 70 hours of training. The program collaborated with over 30 tourism sector experts to enrich the participants&#8217; experience, making it both valuable and enjoyable.
The program followed a methodology named &#8220;Destination Methodology&#8221;, dividing its phases into themed stages symbolizing the participants’ journey toward achieving their goals. This approach fostered collaboration and innovation:

<li>Phase 1 (Exploration): The Map Stage 
Participants enhanced their skills in research, analysis, opportunity discovery, and problem-solving, adopting innovation and entrepreneurial concepts.</li>
<li>Phase 2 (Design): The Compass Stage 
This phase focused on creative thinking and solution generation, aiming to develop practical solutions for the identified challenges. Participants built prototypes in preparation for testing.</li>
<li>Phase 3 (Building): The Treasure Stage 
The final phase centered on testing the prototypes, ensuring their quality, and preparing to launch the selected entrepreneurial projects into the market.</li>
</ul>
The program concluded with a closing ceremony where financial grants were awarded to the nine winning projects that achieved the highest evaluations throughout the three phases.

Some initiatives are designed to have more long-term effects rather than immediate ones, and this is one of them. However, an impact that can be witnessed now is the Film Commission’s decision to choose a female-directed imaginative movie to represent Saudi Arabia at the Oscars.


Saudi Arabia is taking its film industry to the next level one quick step at a time. In 2020, the kingdom’s very own cinema brand Muvi opened up the largest local multiplex cinema. This turned out to be the right decision when almost 6.6 million movie tickets were sold that year.
The country then launched its first ever drive-in cinema in 2021 bringing back the 1950s era when such movie screenings were in high demand. Later the same year, the Saudi Film Festival was introduced in Dhahran and the ‘Saudi Film Night’ found itself in Paris at the Arab World Institute. These industry achievements only scratch the surface of the initiatives the kingdom is implementing to strengthen its presence within the industry, both locally and globally.
In fact, the local feature film ‘Scales’ directed by Saudi filmmaker Shahd Amin was chosen by the Film Commission to represent the kingdom at the Oscars. Although this specific film did not win in the International Feature Film category, it was still a move in the right direction for the country and a proud moment for Shahd Amin.
<h2>Bringing imagination to life</h2>
Nearing the end of 2020, TAM and the Ministry of Culture’s Film Commission began preparations for the subsequent year’s Digital Filmmakers’ Program. The program is part of the commission’s efforts towards advancing the industry by supporting and developing film-based talents within the kingdom under the Vision 2030 umbrella.
On a more specific level, the program was created as a means of training and empowering local film talents, enriching local content, and enhancing the overall fondness for the industry. To get things going in the right direction, Digital Filmmakers’ Program collaborated with some of the most prestigious local and international film schools and institutions, such as 3rd action, Sidra, and The London Film School to name a few.
As things were still slightly uncertain in terms of the pandemic, the 44 available courses were held online and developed for both amateurs and professionals looking to advance their skills in five main industry areas (scriptwriting, production, business, editing, and audio). Interested individuals also had the option to take on more general courses that covered acting, directing, and documentary filmmaking.

To start things off, TAM designed the program’s identity and logo giving it a personality of its own that would resonate in the minds of local cinematic talents. Once that step was completed, the team was able to move forward with creating a website that fit the identity and where film fanatics could find all the information they required to register. Before anyone could register however, TAM had to work on notifying the locals and raising awareness about the existence and uniqueness of the Filmmakers&#8217; Program.
With the target audience set and the communication tools decided upon, the message with its patriotic, educational, inspirational, and enjoyable tone could be sent out to the masses. Between static posts on Twitter, information-filled videos, local coverage by well-known media platforms, and the knowledge that 37 skilled industry veterans would be hosting the courses, the program banked 1,120 attendees.

These program attendees were chosen from a pool of over 5,400 applicants which had to be filtered through based on certain criteria determined during the planning process. After the conclusion of the courses, the talents were presented with certificates of training and completion as proof of their newly reinforced and acquired skills which they can now put to the test at any time.

<h4>Supporting Local Talents to Be in Tune with the Global Standards of the Music Industry</h4>

To cultivate talents in the Saudi music industry and elevate local production to international standards.

The launch of The Virtual Music Training Program, San’ah, in collaboration with a world-renowned institution in the field, ultimately certifying 410 participants.

Participants virtually received theoretical and practical training in the music industry alongside individual advising and consultation. Such preparation paved the way to receiving further support and opportunities from the Music Commission and other governmental sectors, inspiring more people to partake in Vision 2030’s efforts to diversify the economy and enrich cultural output.

In December 2021, the MDLBeast Soundstorm music festival in Riyadh broke records by
hosting over 200 artists and 750k visitors (both, local and international) in only 4 days. This phenomenon clearly indicates a thirst and passion for music in Saudi Arabia. However, to truly realize the goals of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia needs to invest in its own people’s musical talents, providing them with the education and jobs that can put them on the stage or even behind the scenes of local and global arenas.
The launch of XP Music Futures, which holds an annual music conference in Riyadh, is one such initiative that is being followed by others. In fact, since its establishment in early 2019,
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture (MOC) launched multiple projects aimed at enriching and diversifying local cultural production in line with the goals of Vision 2030. By aiming to create jobs and elevate local talents in the music industry, the ministry can boost the economy and enhance the national identity while also building bridges with cultures around the world. With sufficient encouragement and the right opportunities, Saudi Arabia’s musical sphere can thrive.
<h2>Using Virtual Learning to Create a Musical Reality</h2>
In its quest to nurture and transform the Saudi cultural landscape, MOC worked with TAM to create San’ah and launch it on March 30, 2021. San’ah is an interactive virtual music training program, held in partnership with The School of Music Business, a leading music industry education institution. The program’s aim is to enrich and elevate the local musical output, empower 500 talents, and create new job opportunities in this sector.
TAM employed a mix of digital and direct marketing for the program’s launch. Social platforms, including WhatsApp, Google Search, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat were used to advertise the upcoming program. The additional use of emails and social media influencers resulted in a total of 1642 application submissions. After ensuring English language proficiencies (via certified tests or a degree) and undergoing other evaluation measures to ascertain the applicants’ ability to keep up with the program, 647 final participants were accepted from the application pool.
The San’ah program focused on skills that can be taught virtually and created three training tracks to choose from: 1) Studio Operation and Sound Engineering, 2) Artist Management, and 3) DJ Skills. All three tracks were preceded by a mandatory course covering the essentials of the music industry, from its importance and the fields it offers, to its operation in the market. Upon course completion, participants received a certificate, as well as an individual session with field experts to discuss future plans tailored to their goals.
Participants attended virtual theoretical and practical lessons in their chosen track between July 29, 2021 and January 31, 2022, which included participating in group discussions, Q&amp;As, and skill application. Those within the Studio Operation and Sound Engineering track took on audio editing, mixing, mastering, and digital solutions; participants in the Artist Management track studied marketing and distribution, artist evaluation, contracts, and relations management; and those in the DJ Skills track learnt everything from scratch, including key software techniques which led to creating their first recordings.
Throughout the program’s duration, TAM worked closely with all parties to ensure lesson quality, participant attendance, and adherence to deadlines to guarantee their maximum benefit. This consisted of activating communication channels to send reminders about upcoming sessions, as well as maintaining consistent contact between the institution and participants for any updates or questions.
During the entire process, the participants received continuous individual advice, and their performance was evaluated based on pre-set criteria, including the extent of their dedication, their level of interaction, and the quality of their work. Ultimately, the participants presented projects and completed multiple surveys regarding the level of their satisfaction with the program’s quality and their employment status. All this equipped them with the tools to succeed in the field, while their input and end results provided data to cultivate and improve the tools for future participants and retain them to the end of the program.
Overall, 410 participants completed the program and received a certificate. Moreover, 100+
San’ah participants were recognized for their excellence and were thus invited to the XP Music

There, they received support from the Music Commission and other governmental entities, presenting them with further industry opportunities in line with the National Transformation Program and Quality of Life Program. Such results enable the program’s participants to embark on their career path while standing on firm ground, elevating Saudi Arabia’s musical production to international standards, and inspiring more people to partake in doing the same. The development of work and sector knowledge, tips, and techniques among 645 youths across multiple industries.

The tens of thousands of website visits and applications prove there is a mass desire for self improvement among youth. As the program resumes and develops, more young locals will be able to find their future career callings, while also increasing their knowledge and keeping themselves out of trouble.

The program introduced and reinforced the importance of summer education among young people in Saudi Arabia by increasing awareness and leaving an impression with the use of entertainment in education.
As the global labor force expands, job-entry requirements and opportunities become more demanding and, unfortunately, scarcer. Hasn’t almost every fresh graduate wondered how they are asked and expected to have four years worth of experience when they just stepped foot into the labor market yesterday?
Our guess is, that is why summer jobs were invented; to start gaining experience at an early age. Well, that and their ability to instill certain positive traits among youth that grow with them, such as responsibility, frugality, independence, and communication skills, which in turn can also decrease violence and overall delinquent behavior.
Saudi Arabia defines their youth as those aged between 15 and 34, which make up 36.7% of the total population. In 2019, that age group made up 47% (approximately 1.5 million people) of the country’s workforce. Higher schoolers and fresh college students (ages 15 to 19) comprised a mere 6.2% of the aforementioned workforce.
While the kingdom saw a positive impact on the labor market between 2015 and 2019, with the participation rate increasing by 4.4% and unemployment rate dropping 11.5%, the number of working teens is still considered rather miniscule in the grand scheme of things. Since they make up the majority of the population, empowering Saudi youth would result in hundreds of long term positive effects, aiding the country in realizing its Vision 2030 economic reforms and transformation objectives.

<h2>A full summer experience</h2>
TAM took notice of a missing summer activity; a gap that, if filled, could benefit Saudi youth in terms of easing their future school-to-work transitions. In 2020, TAM decided to take on the task of remedying this gap by launching its “101 Summer Experiences” initiative made up of multiple courses that could aid students in finding their future career interests, or simply a summer activity they might enjoy and learn from.
To kick things off, TAM developed the initiative’s identity from A to Z. This included, naming the program alongside structuring and designing the logo, course icons, and most importantly, the website through which interested parties would apply. Next, came the task of selecting the course types and their instructors. Finding skilled experts willing to educate the youth about their field of expertise was a cakewalk &#8211; who wouldn’t want to brag about their life’s work in an academic manner?
For this project, nine instructors were chosen and their topics ranged from the basics of coffee making and pastry baking to content creation, TV presenting, and filmmaking. Based on the instructors’ preferences and requirements, the courses were conducted both online and offline with most of them having an attendance number limit; starting with 3, going all the way up to 40, and then jumping to however many the servers could handle (i.e. unlimited).
Subsequently, it was time to launch the whole affair, and inform people that Summer Experiences was open for application submissions. To do so, TAM set up a Twitter account dedicated to the initiative and began the process of regularly posting updates and interesting tidbits. To expand its reach, the trainers themselves retweeted 101 Summer Experiences’ posts, and uploaded promotional videos of their own in an attempt to gain their audience and fanbase’s attention.
This move garnered approximately 60,000 views and 45,000 website visits which provided people with all the course details, including what topics were covered, what they would gain by attending, in addition to when and where the classes would be conducted. Once they applied through the website, the submitted applications were filtered to select those that fit the criteria set by both TAM and the instructors.

The result was the participation of 645 youths across all the programs, with their favorites being content creation, 3D printing, and the visual courses (i.e. theater, filmmaking, and television presentation). The students’ diverse backgrounds and ages helped create a highly interactive and enjoyable educational environment, allowing them to retain the information and leave with the knowledge they set out to gain.

This project was able to actively engage more than 9,000 people, while indirectly capturing the attention and adding positivity to a few hundred thousand people’s lives in just 1 month.

Unprecedented interactions and noticeable development in the participants’ skills, problem solving techniques, thought processes, and teamwork abilities in terms of innovative ideas and strategies. The general impact on the industry and public has yet to be seen as such effects can only be realized years into the future.

The unfortunate existence of a pandemic had the entire world reflect on its lack of attention towards the healthcare sector which was rarely made a priority beforehand. However, there have been countries working to create a healthier and more inclusive healthcare system for the public even before they were forced to.
For Saudi Arabia, that was apparent in the way it was able to quickly and effectively deal with the pandemic locally as it had been reconstructing its healthcare sector since its Vision 2030 and National Transformation Program were declared active.
It is imperative for the country to stay on its upward trajectory within the sector if it intends to reach its suggested goals. Part of the kingdom’s efforts lay in the privatization of hospitals and healthcare centers as well as the allocation of large budgets to the sector.
Another core pillar in its healthcare transformation strategy is technology, which plays a major role in providing the country’s inhabitants with higher quality healthcare and resources, offering greater access, all while lowering the total cost of getting aid. One important aspect of implementing technological solutions is the ability to innovate when doing so, whether it be part of a simple awareness campaign or a new healthcare service.
This is what the Saudi Ministry of Health has dedicated its time to doing, increasing innovation and creativity among its employees in the hopes of constantly improving the industry for the people.

<h2>Bootcamping towards innovation</h2>
TAMx designed and implemented a three-day creation and innovation bootcamp as part of a forward-thinking initiative by the management of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) marketing and awareness department for 35 of its staff members. The initiative was titled Bootcamp 80 on the basis of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 objective to raise the average age of citizens to 80 from its current 31.8 years.
Fact: On average the life expectancy of people in Saudi Arabia is about 75 years old and is expected to reach 78.4 in males and 81.3 in females by the year 2050. This is in stark contrast to the 52.7-year average of 1970.  
The training program was invested in developing the innovation skills and capabilities of the department’s employees which, once completed, would raise the quality of their ideas, solutions, and campaigns, in turn increasing the quality of life within Saudi Arabia.
Before the program began, the participants were given an information-gathering form to fill out. They were then sent an email invitation to take part in the bootcamp along with the signup link and an RSVP for their attendance.
TAMx worked side by side with the bootcamp coaches in an effort to study and understand the training needs of the participants. In doing so, TAMx ensured the program’s content, objectives and activities conformed to the groups’ requirements based on the gathered information and directions from their respective department heads and managers.
The three-day bootcamp was divided into three segments (the training basics, content, and experience) split into four categories each. Bootcamp 80’s end targets can be summed up in four words: ‘development’ of creative problem-solving skills, ‘equipment’ of instantly-applicable tools and work models, ‘expansion’ of creative solutions and crisis aversion horizons, ‘enablement’ of effective, high-quality evaluations and implementations of innovative ideas.
To start with, the bootcamp focused on building an innovative and creative mindset among the groups with an overview of the program as a whole and its target outcomes. That focus then shifted to the actual generation of ideas using the best possible tools and methods. Finally, the attendees got to design and implement project processes with their related campaigns, which they would then build upon and present to their colleagues.

The unprecedented interactions and noticeable development of the participants’ skills during the different training segments can be witnessed through the multidimensional follow-up questionnaires and the recorded interviews conducted once the bootcamp was concluded. The majority of the attendees were pleased with the results and the overall organization of the bootcamp and were in fact excited to attend the many scheduled workshops and sessions provided.

The competition, known as the Cultural Talents Tournament, is a nationwide event that takes place in the Kingdom and is open to general education schools. The competition aims to identify innovative students in various cultural fields, supporting them and helping them improve their skills. The competition has six primary categories, including Film, Music, Literature, Theater, Visual Arts, and Heritage. The competition is intended for male and female students in the upper grades of primary school and middle and high school students.
The competition aims to showcase the cultural skills of students using a well-designed methodology to achieve the following:

<li>Discovering and developing skills in cultural and artistic fields.</li>

The competition goes through different stages: preparation, launch, discovery, sorting- process, training, judging, camp, and ceremony.
The stages were designed to activate the main objectives of the competition according to the best practices followed in the cultural and training fields.
The first stage involves receiving entries from male and female students in specified tracks, followed by sorting and filtering to select the best entries.
In the third stage, students will develop cultural skills through distance training and submit creative entries. Judges will then choose the best entries and reward the winners.
In the fifth stage. The selected students will participate in a training camp to further develop their creative skills in various cultural fields. The results will be announced in the closing ceremony.
The competition offers prizes worth more than 5 million Saudi riyals. The winners in each track and each educational stage will receive 100,000 riyals for the first place, 75,000 riyals for the second place, and 50,000 riyals for the third place.
The competition is part of the “Cultural Capability Development” strategy, which aims to improve the connection between general education students in the Kingdom with culture and arts. The goal is to identify their skills and work towards enhancing and developing them. This will enable creative individuals to contribute to the enrichment and effectiveness of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s cultural sector.

<h4>Cultivating Creativity in order to Stir and Strengthen Innovation</h4>

Cultivating a culture of creativity and innovation by providing Saudi youth with the means to express their thoughts through artistic expression.

Thousands of teens from all over the kingdom wanted to join in and show the world their talents and the way their minds work, and many did so successfully.

There is no right or wrong time to start fostering creativity and artistic expression, but there is no harm in beginning early.

It was not just the teens that were affected by the competition, but their schools as well who found pride in their ability to encourage creativity and innovation. This pride could result in the adaptation of schooling systems to become more accepting of different talents.
The Saudi culture &#8211; and all cultures worldwide for that matter &#8211; was prompted and influenced by creativity. The importance of culture lies within a society’s ability to move forward and constantly progress, but always remember its roots. This proposes the notion that fostering creativity will inevitably lead to a flourishing of innovative minds &#8211; a key ingredient of progression.
As Saudi Arabia strives to bring its Vision 2030 to life and move away from its dependency on oil, it begins to focus its efforts on stimulating the creative minds of its young generations and future innovators. These endeavors may be more recent than others, but they are no less important nor are they stagnant.
According to data from the Global Innovation Index, the kingdom has been climbing, slowly but surely making its way up the innovation ladder. In 2020, KSA went up two places to reach 66th globally on the index, while its rank on the Creative Output Index rose from 86th place in 2019 to 69th in 2020. In such a short amount of time, the kingdom has been able to make considerable progress, and any progress is still just that, progress.
<h2>Anytime is a good time to foster creativity</h2>
The Ministry of Education, in partnership with Salem Bin Mahfouz Foundation, set out to unearth the creative minds hidden across the kingdom by bringing into being the national expressive talents competition, Khayal (“Imagination” in English), in 2017 and 2018. TAM’s competition design, organization, and launch experience was given the opportunity to apply itself throughout that entire period.
Khayal was developed as part of the MOE’s contribution to the Saudi Vision 2030 and its corresponding National Transformation Program which included the goal of improving the educational environment to better motivate creativity and innovation. The competition encompassed the world of digital artistic literature in the form of writing and drawing.
Each student was expected to submit either of the two methods of expression to represent the chosen educational topics or scopes. Simple as it may be, the competition would provide students with the means to convey their knowledge, allowing the ministry to discover, develop, and reward them for it.
In the final month of 2016, TAM began the preparation and project development phase for the contest. This of course entailed designing its identity and color scheme which would demonstrate the two participation methods.
Next, a focus group made up of education, arts, and literature experts was put together and invited to discuss the competition and its subject matters. This was done to better understand the needs of each field, how they can be combined, the students’ possible interests and motivation factors, as well as the best ways to reward them. Soon after the focus group concluded, the contest’s challenge topics and awards took form.
However, a focus group of experts alone was not enough, and TAM conducted a second involving middle and high school students. Taking into consideration the target audience’s opinions and remarks about the chosen details of the competition gave TAM a deeper understanding of what was expected from Khayal, allowing the team to further improve upon their already available components.
The final result was a set of three challenges for the Saudi middle and high school students to complete, each of which allowed them to either write or draw their answers. Now to apply, these students would need a dedicated platform designed to provide them with more information about the contest, its rules and regulations, the prizes, and how to register. TAM gave them just that, with an introductory video to boot.
TAM started by promoting the competition to the targeted audience with the use of colorful social media posts, influencer content, and relatable imagery, ones that teenagers would be intrigued by. TAM also included inspirational posts, fun polls, and even a countdown, all to bring awareness to the contest and grab the talents’ attention.
As the reach accumulated to secure tens of millions, the submissions consequently grew to hit 4,160 and 10,890 young artists and writers, respectively. To keep them motivated away from backing out, the applicants were sent direct emails informing them that their work had been received.
The competition had officially begun, and it was time to ink up the filtration system which would decide the advancing submissions based on the rules and whether all three challenges had been completed. Of the total, 120 youths would be chosen to continue to the judging phase where 28 would remain in the competition.
The final judging panel would then determine the 12 best applications, three for each of the following: middle school writers, high school writers, middle school artists, and high school artists. They would then proceed to the last part of the competition, the public voting, which would be completed through the website itself. After around 20,000 votes were in, the three high school and three middle school winners were announced, whether artist or writer.
Creativity is everywhere and it lives within us. Fostering this talent from a young age can ensure a more inventive and innovative future for generations to come. It is apparent that these students are looking for a way to showcase what they have, and that the public is willing to help ensure they develop their youths’ talents for a thriving and colorful prospective society.
